Customer Reviews

It's been a long time since I ate at a diner that just kind of felt like home. As I observed people coming in to have lunch I noticed that a lot of people knew each other, it was nice to see them all talking to each other, and seeing the regulars meet up in the corner booth. We got there around noon and they were quite busy, every table was filled but we didn't have to wait at all for a seat. It was really nice to see the workers working together as a team. I watched three separate individuals bust a table. Somebody wiped it off, somebody straightened out the chairs, and somebody brought the menus and silverware for the next people to sit down. The customer service from every employee that I noticed was top-notch, it looked to me like they appreciated seeing the regulars that came in there too. This is our first time eating here and I decided to try the country fried steak, it was fantastic and definitely a lot of food so worth the money! My son got the cheeseburger and my husband got a breakfast skillet. Everybody seemed to really enjoy their meal and we all agreed that we would come back again! They have limited parking but it seems like maybe there's always just that one last parking spot that's open just for you. Would be really cool to see this restaurant be able to expand to a bigger building and a bigger parking lot in the future! Keep up the great work you guys and God will bless you!

This restaurant always has excellent food and outstanding service! They always have people dining in there, but always room for more. The menu is filled with lots of breakfast and lunch choices. Today I had their amazing chili and a gyro sandwich. My daughter had bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Very close to the Peoria Airport. Great for dining alone, with children, big or small group. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is why we live in Central Illinois. Friendly, fast and economical, The food is done the same way you ask for every time. It's a throwback to years ago when everyone was about a smile, and great service.

A Rueben is an easy sandwich to make bad and a difficult sandwich to make excellent. I asked the waitress for a recommendation and this Rueban was by far the best I've had. My son's French toast was gently crusted to a golden brown perfection on the high ends without being burnt and my wife's simple biscuits and gravy were spot on homemade. I also had a cup of each soup. I came from NJ, the land of diners. I grew up working in diners, dives and restaurants. Just because a place is inexpensive doesn't mean it has to taste cheap. This diner's cook was spot on perfect and the waitress was beyond pleasant. You'd never even know the diner was packed full as attentive and responsive as she remained to each of her guests. One of the greatest dining experiences I've had in a long time. I will fly all of my family into Peoria just to have an excuse for a 45 minute trip to go to this wonderful establishment. Thank you to all the staff and owners for creating such a wonderful experience. This is what going out to eat used to be like! I wish I recalled my waitresses name but she knows who she is. After all, how many people order a rueban sandwich.
